Pageants in New York, from the five boroughs to upstate

Entries come from New York City, from Long Island and Westchester, from the capital Albany, and from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Ithaca upstate.
New York City is one of the fashion capitals of the world, home to New York Fashion Week, major modeling agencies and the beauty industry's biggest brands. Upstate, Cornell, Syracuse University, the University of Rochester and the SUNY campuses bring students into dozens of college towns, so the contest draws women of every age and background.
Buffalo is about a seven hour drive from Manhattan, and lake effect snow makes winter travel in western New York hard. AmericaBeauty New York runs every stage online, so a candidate in the Southern Tier and one in Brooklyn both compete by sharing a profile link.
New York cities with their own contest page
Women from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Yonkers and Long Island towns choose "Other city in New York" in the entry form. Each of those cities still gets its own city stage and its own titleholders.
