Texas is the second largest state by area and by population, and it holds several of the biggest cities in the country. Houston spreads along the Gulf Coast, Dallas and Fort Worth anchor North Texas, Austin, the capital, sits in the Hill Country, and San Antonio carries a deep Tejano heritage. El Paso in the far west, the Rio Grande Valley in the south and Lubbock and Amarillo on the plains make the state remarkably varied.
Pageants are woven into Texas culture, from county fair queens to festival courts and statewide titles, and many Texas women grow up around them. The University of Texas in Austin and Texas A&M in College Station are among the largest campuses in the country, and energy, healthcare, tech and ranching all shape daily life. Who can enter in Texas
To compete for a Texas title you need to be a woman who lives in Texas and is 18 or older on the day of entry. We set no upper age limit and welcome married women and mothers. Two categories run side by side, AmericaBeauty for ages 18 to 29 and AmericaBeauty Classic for 30 and over. Details are in the rules and eligibility and on the categories page.

Is this the Miss Texas pageant?
No. AmericaBeauty Texas is an independent pageant with no affiliation to Miss USA, Miss America or Miss Universe or to their state organizations in Texas. Candidates pay no entry fee.
Do I have to travel to Austin for the state stage?
No. The Texas state stage runs online in March and April 2027. You never need to travel, and the national final is streamed online as well.
I study at a Texas university but my family lives in Louisiana. Which state do I enter?
Enter the state where you live. If Texas is your residence, enter Texas. If your residence is in Louisiana, enter Louisiana.
Which cities in Texas have their own contest page?
